OK, before I go on
I have to tell you
in the photo the
flowers have not
bloomed yet. So
the photo is how
the ground cover
looks without
flowers.
Creeping phlox
makes a good
ground cover. It's
low growing (about
4-6 inches tall)
and spreads out.
In the spring
little, tiny
flowers cover the
spread. I get so
many wonderful
comments when the
flowers bloom.
It's just
spectacular.
They are low
maintenance.Except,
when they get to
the length you
want, they will
need to be
trimmed. I
recommend them to
cover areas
that you don't
want to mow or
along rock walls
and ledges where
they can trail
over. I have
had ground cover
as ivy,
pachasandra and
these creeping
phlox and I prefer
these since they
have the flowers.
The flowers
come in
periwinkle, pink
and a deep rosy,
pink.
